This is a Dragon Carrot. I tried growing them this year to see if they would grow in our area. I'm pretty proud of them. Aren't they cute? They are purplish-redish on the outside and orange on the inside.

Flowers and Carrots
Here are some photos of our Texas state flower, the Bluebonnet. We have these growing in our yard.

A friend of mine took a pic of her daughters in the bluebonnets in their yard. Her older dd is the same age as Hallie and has been begging for this photo opp for 2 years! So pretty.
