A New Face!

I know, this is the last thing I needed. But, she's not mine. This is my Sister's new Basset puppy. I've been taking care of her during the day while Sis is at work. I can't get too attached though. When Sis gets married in October, the puppy, Julie is her name, goes with her.

At the same time, my two older dogs have been having lots of trouble. Daisy has gone blind in one eye. I noticed she kept running into things. Poor girl! Freckles is in really bad shape. In fact, we are probably going to have to put him down soon.

Yet Another Progress Pic

Here is my latest work on 25th Anniversary. I took a small break to work on a Round Robin piece but I am now working on it again. I also had to wash it because of a stain but it looks good as new and is ready to be finished.

I'm trying a new scroll rod system called EZ Stitch. I like it so far but I will definitely know by the end of the week if I can use it all the time. I love Q-snaps but I don't like using them for larger projects. I guess we will see.

New Mattress

After sleeping on a lumpy mattress and enduring back pain for years, I finally bought a new one. I cannot believe how comfortable it is! There is one slight problem though. I upgraded my full to a queen and the bed frame is adjustable from a full to queen. All right so far. Well, the side rails are 4 inches too short! So, I had to pile the mattresses on the floor till I can go out and try to find new side rails. Hopefully this will be solved quickly and painlessly.
