The Latest weekend Update

My latest update on my Bug Collector. I am fighting the urge to finish this one up right now.

Here is BoInk. I started on the fist block. I really like how this is looking.

This is Spanish Sampler, a free mystery offered by www.periphaeria.com. For some reason, I just couldn't make myself work on it for long periods of time. So, I moved over to a smaller block/strip so I could actually have a finished one.

I think this is block 3a. There were two parts to the 3rd installment but this is just the first part. The picture doesn't show the true colors very well but it's the best I could do with the black background. I'm hoping that this will motivate me to finish the first block.

Flowers and Carrots

Here are some photos of our Texas state flower, the Bluebonnet. We have these growing in our yard.

This is a Dragon Carrot. I tried growing them this year to see if they would grow in our area. I'm pretty proud of them. Aren't they cute? They are purplish-redish on the outside and orange on the inside.

Another Round Robin Block

This is the tree that I stitched on Deanna's RR piece for her Christmas Tree theme. It's a freebie by Michael Powell, www.michaelpowellart.co.uk. You have to join or sign up for the newsletter to get to the freebies. I'll probably stitch this tree again for myself later.

It's Time For Another Weekend Update

Here is my BoInk. I am really happy with the progress I have made on this.

This is my current work on Bug Collector.

And here is my progress of Croakworth. It's not much but here it is. I have been using most of my time cleaning a room to get it ready to paint.

The Weekend Update

Saturday- Bug Collector. I really like this last band I did. I like how the colors look with this stitch.

Sunday- BoInk. This is a really fun design. My biggest problem right now is deciding what to stitch first. I can't decide if I want to stitch the whole frame first and then start on the blocks or if I should just stitch what I feel like at the time. I'll probably just wind up stitching whatever I feel like. That's what I usually do. ;)

Egypt Garden Update

Among Bug Collector and Boink, I also worked on Egypt Garden over the weekend. Three different SALs in one weekend! Well, to be honest, I actually did Bug Collector on Thursday so Friday-Sunday would be open for EG and BoInk. ;)

BoInk Progress-Day 1

Here is my first progress pic from the BoInk Sal. I probably could have gotten more done but I got a surprise visit from Sis and Brother-in-law. But I'm still very happy with my progress.

This is Bug Collector with row 5 added. This is a super quick project but we are supposed to only do 1 row each Saturday. That actually works just fine for me. I can stitch a quick band and then work on other projects. I have even found another band sampler in my stash to work on when Bug Collector is done. It is "Dragonfly Sampler" from Just Cross Stitch August 2005 issue. It has dragonflies, frogs, and turtles. It's perfect for me!
