Happy Dancing!

I finished the last block with a little alteration to make it say 2010 instead of 2009.

And here it is all finished! BoInk or "Book of Ink Circles" by Ink Circles stitched on "Champagne Cocktail Flair" Monaco dyed by Enchanted Fabrics. This was a really fun project. Hmm....Does this mean I can start something new? *Evil laugh* I will have to look over my stash and see what I may start next (not that I don't already have plenty of projects to to work on now).

BoInk Update

It's getting so close! I didn't get to stitch much last week due to VBS but I did manage to work on it on Saturday. I am refusing to let myself do the last block until all else is finished.

BoInk Progress

It won't be long before this is finished! I'm trying to be good and save the last block for the end while I finish up the frame and borders.

BoInk Update

It's getting close! Just two more blocks and the rest of the borders to go!

Full View Of BoInk

I took BoInk off of the scroll rods for a bit and decided to get a photo of it while I had the chance. I'm excited that I'm getting so close to finishing it! I need to work on those borders though. Oh well, I figure that once I run out of the blocks, I'll have no choice but to finish the border. This has been a fun project so far!

I will post all of my progress photos from the Stitching Olympics at the end of the month when it's over.

Christmas Mail!

I got this cute scissor fob (the scissors are mine. They are just modeling. Hee hee) in the mail from Nicole this week! It's so cute! She changed a few of the colors around because she knows that I prefer purple over red. This design came from the Book of Ink Circles. That was very sweet of you Nicole, thank you so much!

Book of Ink Circles Progess

I was sick on Thanksgiving day and our internet crashed so I found myself with lots of time to myself. I was able to finish another square on my BoInk. I was going to work some more on the frame but I ran out of black floss. So, I used that as an excuse to keep working on the blocks. :)

This weekend, I should be trying to work on the quilts. If I don't wind up going shopping that is. ;)

Vacation and BoInk

We went on a camping trip to Goose Island State Park in Rockport during their annual Hummingbird Festival. We were going to stay longer but, alas, it was not meant to be. On the way there, a big chunk of the siding on our camper broke off. We were lucky that no one was directly behind us on the road so no one got hurt. After we got there, we realized that the air conditioner isn't working. So, we think, well at least the wind is blowing in off the water and will help cool us off. Think again. As soon as the sun started setting, the wind stopped and the mosquitoes started. We stayed long enough to see a few lectures at the festival, buy a few t-shirts, and visit their local quilt shop and then we came home. We stayed about 3 days. At this point, all you can do is sit back and laugh. I would normally get a ton of photos but we didn't stay long enough for that. So, here are a few Seagulls and a pelican that I managed to get photos of.

I couldn't resist getting a photo of this little guy. He was posing so nicely for me and didn't fly away even when I got super close.

Here's my latest progress on BoInk. I would like to finish all of the black in the borders and frame before I get back to work on any more blocks. I don't know if I can make myself though. ;)

More Progress

Here's my progress on the "R" lady/fairy. So pretty!

And now for BoInk! I am really enjoying this piece.

I still don't know whether I'm getting a niece or nephew yet but I have picked out a birth record pattern. Hee hee! I'm so excited!

Some Updates!

I finished her! This is The Earth Goddess designed by Claire Crompton that went around as a Round Robin. She is from the book, Magical Cross Stitch and she was stitched on fabric from Enchanted Fabrics. I don't really recall what the name of the fabric was though. In the original design, the Earth is directly above her head but I decided to put a butterfly charm there instead. I, of course, then had to add a froggy and some dragonflies to her as well. This is one of my goals to be marked of the list!

This is my latest progress on BoInk.

BoInk Progress

Here is the progress on my BoInk so far. The littlest squares were supposed to be done in red but since red is my least favorite color, I changed it to the purple. I often change something on most of my projects along the way. I don't know why, it just happens.

Here is a closer pic of what I've been working on lately. Next, I should work some more on the borders.

Here is my small progress on Deck the Stalls stocking. I really should have finished this about a year ago but I quit working on it. So, when The Wagon BB announced that the theme for July was "Christmas in July", I decided to pull it out. It's supposed to be for my little cousin so I need to finish it before my niece or nephew is born because then I'll have another stocking to make. Yes, that's right. I'm going to be an Aunt! :)

Here is my latest photo of BoInk. I didn't put very much time into it last week but progress is progress.

My Latest Updates

Last week was pretty hectic and crazy so I was lucky to get anything stitched at all! In between laundry and other chores, I managed to do a little.

Here's my latest update of BoInk. Next weekend I'll probably do the outline for the knot on the other side and hopefully fill both sides in with the green. Wow, that sounds like a lofty goal! Well, I'm going to try.

This is Croakworth. I really love this piece. I never realized that quaker type design were so much fun.

June Progress

I LOVE this project!! It's going to have all the things that I love on it. Frogs, turtles, waterlilies, and dragonflies!

Here is latest progress on BoInk. After I finish the right corner block, I need to work some more of the border. I work on this every Sunday and I seem to be getting a lot accomplished that way. I think I need to assign a project to each day of the week and actually get a lot done on them as well.

My progress

Here is my latest progress on BoInk. Last week, I did quite a bit of stitching and then pretty much had to rip it all out due to a slight miscount. So I had to fix everything and I now have block #3 done. Saturday I woke up with a migraine that lasted half the day so I was lucky to be feeling well enough to stitch Sunday evening.

I've been working on a RR piece so until I get my square finished, there won't be many update photos.

Progress and a Finish!

This is what I got done on Book of Ink Circles. I finished the second block which was my goal. It's not much but it's still progress.

I finished How Does Your Garden Grow! This is the main reason I didn't get much done on BoInk. I'm glad to have this completed. I will work on that stain Monday.

My Updates

Here is BoInk. I tried to catch up as much as I could since I didn't work on it at all the week before. I usually don't stitch things with celtic themes as they just haven't appealed to me but I am really enjoying this project.

Weekend Update

Here's my butterfly band on my Bug Collector. This is turning out so cute! I kitted up my next project that will take the place of this one. It's a band sampler as well.

And of course, here's BoInk. I could have done a little bit more but decided that I had stitched enough for tonight. I'm too tired and the black and red lines were starting to make my eyes hurt. I'm hoping to finish the first block next weekend.

The Latest weekend Update

My latest update on my Bug Collector. I am fighting the urge to finish this one up right now.

Here is BoInk. I started on the fist block. I really like how this is looking.

This is Spanish Sampler, a free mystery offered by www.periphaeria.com. For some reason, I just couldn't make myself work on it for long periods of time. So, I moved over to a smaller block/strip so I could actually have a finished one.

I think this is block 3a. There were two parts to the 3rd installment but this is just the first part. The picture doesn't show the true colors very well but it's the best I could do with the black background. I'm hoping that this will motivate me to finish the first block.

It's Time For Another Weekend Update

Here is my BoInk. I am really happy with the progress I have made on this.

This is my current work on Bug Collector.

And here is my progress of Croakworth. It's not much but here it is. I have been using most of my time cleaning a room to get it ready to paint.
